1) The Superior Tour

“Full day in Prague on foot, by river boat and a tram ride“

• Daily at 10:00 a.m., lasts 6 hours

Wow, Prague in a day! This walk is a unique combination of the very best aspects of each of our walks. From the magic little web of alleys in the OLD TOWN through the important milestones in the history of the JEWISH QUARTER and astonishing revolutions on Wenceslas Square in the NEW TOWN we come to the river just to enjoy a comfortable cruise that shows us the most romantic spots of Prague like the LESSER TOWN or Prague Castle from the most unusual angles. Then we board a tram to ascend the hill to PRAGUE CASTLE.

As we stroll around the Jewish Ghetto formed by small houses and narrow alleys that allure tourists by its unique monuments – the Old Jewish Cemetery, the Old-New Synagogue still in use, the Jewish Museum – we look into the Jewish traditions and history.

We admire the rich history of the Old Town with the marvelous St. James Church, the medieval customs yard Ungelt, the Estates Theatre where Mozart’s Don Giovanni was introduced to the world and the Charles University, the oldest one in Central Europe. On the Wenceslas Square we witness the Velvet Revolution in 1989.

After a typical Czech lunch served in a nice restaurant we experience our cruise. Prague Castle crowing the top of a picturesque hill, Lesser Town, St. Nicolas Church, a jewel of the Baroque, Charles Bridge, the oldest one in Prague, the National Theatre… Let all the Prague’s treasures give us unsurpassed views over the riverbanks!

After the cruise we come to the Castle, the real essence of Prague.Your guide takes you through all courtyards, shows you the Old Royal Palace, the Basilica of St. George, the Royal Garden, the Golden Lane… and the architectural gem of St. Vitus Cathedral.

On this tour with a great guide, you can peer into the past from the 21st century!

2) Grand Tour of Prague

“The grand combination of our walks”

• Daily at 11 a.m., lasts 4 hours

This carefully selected walk covers all the most important sights of Prague and seeing it with a great guide is like having the past suddenly rise to the surface. We stroll around the famous historical Prague quarters – OLD TOWN, JEWISH QUARTER, NEW TOWN, LESSER TOWN AND PRAGUE CASTLE.

It starts on the Old Town Square with a general introduction to Prague. Admiring the impressive composition of old buildings and churches we also become acquainted with the life of the Czech reformer John Huss.

A visit to the Jewish Quarter leads us back to its tragic history. You discover the destiny of Prague Jews living behind the wall of the former Ghetto. Old-New Synagogue, Old Jewish Cemetery, the Jewish Museum… visit with us the places where the fabulous Golem was created and follow with us in the footsteps of the famous Jewish writer Franz Kafka.

Crooked lanes lead us back around other keyholes into Prague’s past, the medieval courtyard Ungelt, the Charles University since 1348, Mozart’s Don Giovanni in the Estates Theatre... The Wenceslas Square gives us a testimony of 1968 when the Soviet tanks arrived until the year 1989 when the Velvet Revolution brought democracy again.

Crossing the Charles Bridge, the real “open gallery under the sky” we reach the great St. Nicholas Church on the beguiling Lesser Town Square and then Prague Castle, one of the biggest fortresses in Europe. This “city within the city” hides the Old Royal Palace, the Basilica of St. George, the presidential office, the Golden Lane… and the treasure of the architecture of the St. Vitus Cathedral. The walk finishes with a charming view of Prague, the city of a hundred spires.

It is really easy to walk, simple to understand and great to enjoy!

Set amid the back alleys the tale of Ashkenazis allows us to compare them with Sephardims. We might even meet the Golem, an artificial man created by Rabbi Löw.
